Who is responsible

This site is run by Benjamin Fuller as a personal resume. I am the data controller for anything described on this page.

Questions or requests: message me on LinkedIn.

The short version

I do not run ads, I do not sell data, and I do not set any cookies of my own. If you accept analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool (PostHog) counts visits. If you reject, nothing is loaded.

What is stored on your device

Your cookie choice (necessary). A small entry in your browser's local storage, consent.v1, remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics so I do not ask again on every page. It never leaves your device.

PostHog analytics (only if you accept). PostHog stores an anonymous identifier in a cookie and in local storage (names beginning with ph_) so it can tell a returning visit from a new one. If you later withdraw consent, those entries are deleted.

The site does not remember your language, theme or search; the language is simply part of the address you visit. If your browser reports Spanish as its preferred language, your first visit to an English page is sent once to the Spanish version, using the language setting your browser provides. Nothing about this is stored.

What analytics collects, and why

With your consent, PostHog records page views and clicks, the page you came from, your browser, device type and operating system, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. I use this only to understand whether the site is useful and which sections people read. I do not use session recordings and I do not try to identify you.

Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time with no effect on the rest of the site.

Retention: analytics data is kept for no longer than 12 months.

Who else is involved

PostHog (PostHog Inc.) acts as my processor and hosts the data in its EU cloud (Frankfurt, Germany). It only loads after you accept. See the PostHog privacy policy.

GitHub Pages hosts this site. Like any web host, GitHub receives your IP address and request details when you load a page and may keep server logs; I do not receive or control those. See the GitHub privacy statement.

Outbound links (LinkedIn, the Internet Archive, Acquire.com, company sites) are ordinary links. Nothing from those sites is embedded here, so they only learn about your visit if you click through, under their own policies.

This site loads no third-party fonts, scripts, trackers, social widgets or embedded media. Fonts are your device's own, and images are served from this site.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete data about you, object to or restrict processing, and complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD; elsewhere, your national authority). Because analytics are anonymous, I usually cannot link data to a person, but you can always switch analytics off with cookie settings.

Changes

If I add a tool or change what is collected, I will update this page and ask for your consent again where required.
