The product
Onemata described itself as "the largest provider of compliance-first, SDK-derived, mobile location data." Its data was delivered as mobile device IDs, IP addresses, geo coordinates and timestamps. At the time, the site cited coverage in 190 countries and 865 million monthly active users. The company also offered a product called Inbox Gold.
What I did
- First engineering hire; grew the team from 1 to 15.
- Built a high-volume, event-driven streaming platform on AWS (Kafka, Spark on EMR, ECS) with proprietary data-quality, fraud-detection, and bot-detection algorithms.
- Shipped a self-serve delivery portal that cut client onboarding from 3+ months to under 24 hours.
- SOC 2; $1.2M in annual savings.
